We’ve seen one of the most advanced gaming engines today evolve since farcry which was developed initially by Crytek based on the Cry Engine, We then witnessed CryEngine2 and the massive impact on the PC Gaming industry it has made.
With many game developers trying to keep up with its technology.
Today we witness Cry Engine 3.
The newest edition of the Cry Engine (game engine) from Crytek, its said to deliver not only the best graphics on the market today, but now includes full support for Dx9, Dx10 and XBOX360 and Ps3.. for you console owners!
Crytek are selling licenses to other game developers as we speak, so we hope to see many more games in the future based off this beautiful engine.
Im sure the 3rd addition to the crysis series will be in CryEngine 3, we will have to see! time for an upgrade?! i hope so.

Lord of the Rings : Conquest
With a full list of features Lord Of The Rings Conquest is said to deliver a great all round gaming experience. With talk about a previous release from Pandemic Studios of “Starwars Battle Front” about, its more than likely that Lord of the Rings Conquest will play the same way that Starwars Battle Front did.
If you are familiar with Battle Front and enjoyed it you’ll probably find that you’ll enjoy this game too. Starwars Battle Front is still a popular title today, with a large community of gamers still playing online.
With Lord of The Rings Conquest you will be able to play cooperatively either 4 player split screen, or online across the internet.
Pandemic are covering most platforms, including PC, PS3, and the XBOX 360. The release date is set for 10 days from now on the 13th of January for U.S, 15th for Austrailia, and the 16th for Europe.

Team Instant Action - Crysis Wars has added a new multplayer mode since Crysis’s average multiplayer, this is called team instant action (TIA for short). This should be like the previous “Instant Action” but allowing you to fight in teams. It will include a intelligent spawn system that will insure you will spawn by your allies.
New Maps - Crytek have added new maps to our multiplayer experience, 21 maps in total and 7 New never seen before maps. The new maps have been designed to Create vertical gameplay which means you’ll have not only to watch your backs, but keep your head’s up!
Original Maps - The Original maps have been modded and changed around, more optimized than before some entirley revamped.
New HUD elements - New HUD elements have been implemented, including a kill count on your opponent to see how many times you’ve owned him!

There are nearly always bugs in games, even if some are smaller than others, I am about to tell you how to fix one of the error messages that you could receive when starting Gears Of War for the pc. And how to fix it easily.
If you receive the error message:
“PhysXCore.dll You cannot run the game with modified execute code.”
Or any other error message with “You cannot run the game with modified execute code“.
Fixing the Error
Put in your Gears of War DVD or CD
Go to -> My Computer -> your DVD Drive:\ (labeled gears of war) -> browse to the following folder
“Drive:\program files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries”
(If you don’t have the disk you can download the files at the bottom of this post)
Right click copy “PhysXCore.dll“
Then browse to your Gears of War installation path
“Installation Drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries”
Then paste the file in that folder.(PhysXCore.dll)
Replace the file then close.
Now you should be able to open and run Gears of War as normal.
Their are other variants of this message such as openal32.dll, in which the same process can be used to fix the error. You just need to use the file openal32.dll instead of PhysXCore.dll when following the instructions above.

A game has been announced by Future Mark, the company that “used” to make PC benchmarking software like Future Mark 3D Vantage. This did only work on vista, I HOPE that’s not what the game will be limited to, so it doesn’t FAIL. The game has a yet to be confirmed release date. The game Shattered Horizon is a multiplayer first-person shooter with unique freedom of movement and realistic zero gravity combat.
Background game info
Man is back on the Moon and the companies that took him there are reaping huge profits. Their greed soon leads to the largest mining accident in history, when overexploitation of a risky new technique called Incite Mining leads to a catastrophe of unprecedented scale. An explosion throws billions of tons of rocky debris into near-Earth space, its aftershocks threatening to tear apart the Moon itself.
Fragments of the Moon settle around the Earth and become known as the Arc, named after the dramatic shape they draw across the night sky. With Earth surrounded by debris there’s little chance of rescue or return for the thousands of people stranded in space.
The International Space Agency’s astronauts and scientists trapped in the battered International Space Station are given the task of apprehending those responsible for the catastrophe. Weapons are among the last supplies sent to the station before the supply route from Earth is cut.
The Moon Mining Cooperative finds itself facing serious charges after only barely surviving the cataclysm. Cut off from Earth, they see independence and self-sufficiency as their only possible future and the ISA as a threat to their existence.
The two sides are drawn into an armed conflict. Desperate battles are fought over strategic locations and the scant supplies from Earth that make it through the shroud of debris. Control of the Arc now means the difference between survival and death in the cold of space.

Crysis Warhead is coming up close, just over a month away from release on the 26/09/2008,
Here is a current full list of features that Crysis Warhead contains, including AUTO MAP Downloads, and patching system. Its what i am looking forward to most on this list.

Crysis Warhead is retailing very cheap, about £18 thats a great price for a stand alone game. (you won’t need vanilla crysis to play this) Although if you are going to go for Crysis Warhead you should at least know the story or have played original Crysis. Crysis Warhead had said to be optimized for a PC worth just $600 so cheaper than ever more optimized than ever, great graphics, great improvements!
