Today i noticed that crysiseu.com one of the many big crysis community sites had created a section in their forums for far cry 2 and also advertising talk about crysis 2!?!.. already!
I wonder if this is because people(crysis fans) are bored of crysis already? So the communities will have to keep alive by introducing sub categories in their websites, fighting for survival.

Did you know?
I forgot to mention this but if you didn’t know already you can change your Crysis Online name to different colours for your allies and maybe enemies to see (not sure to much about enemies).
Here is an image of the crysis font colours that you can use for online. Right click it save as if you want to keep it as a reference.
See below how to use them.

To use the colour codes in your Crysis name
An example to change the colour of your name to Orange and Red would be. “name $8Your$4NameHere”
In game it would appear something like this “YourNameHere” Which will obviously make your online name stand out among the others.
Clans etc.. find this very useful when having matches. If you want to view your own name don’t forget get into a vehicle and go third person and hit f3!
Colour codes list
Here a list of possible colors within the font…
- $0 Black
- $1 White
- $2 Blue
- $3 Green
- $4 Red
- $5 Cyan
- $6 Yellow
- $7 Magenta
- $8 Orange
Hope this helps!

Quick Jump: Why wasn’t there Co-op? / The Co-op Mod / The Co-op Mod Trailer

Where is Crysis Coop mode?!
The 1 thing we all might liked to have seen in crysis is an option to be able to play in co-op mode with at least one friend, a few of games do offer coop play like e.g gears of war, halo and lots of new genre games. Apparently we didn’t get to see this in crysis because of when the group testing was over they found that most people like to play the power struggle mode, which obviously they hoped would hold people’s attention because they didn’t include any other play modes. Although power struggle is quite nice, i and many other people would like to have seen crysis co-op.
Assault Crysis co-op mod ” Fight as One “
“Assault coop” and “Modders in Kombat” Crysis co-op mod ” Fight as One ” have joined forces and are proud to bring you the sequel to the old mod from far cry.
I was reading over at the mod database about this thrilling mod for crysis and how it will change the way we play crysis. Although the author was creating his own levels and maps for us to fight through playing together. It seems like a big step for a coop mod for crysis. Here is the crysis mod for coop updates page:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/7189/assault-coop-crysis
The Author quoted:
I definitely want to make the zombies like “I Am Legend”. Since there is a night and day cycle system in crysis, why not make the players fear the darkness? XD Another gamemode I was planning was “survival roleplay”. The goal is that you get to roam around in a huge map(city, village, forest, etc.) and do objectives like taking over a base, saving people, assassinations. I just want to see how to the flowgraph can make this happen
The mod sounds good it can also be integrated with the current crysis campaign missions so we can play through the whole game together, i wonder how many people you could have in a co-op multiplayer!
Just two people would be fine for most, a squad would be even cooler.
I think people will be looking forward to helping each other complete parts of the game, it does also say that once you have died you will stay dead but their will be tools to help revive a team mate.
Fight as One co-op Trailer
Glad to spot this co-op mod, keep your eyes peeled on this one!

Quote from CryMod.com Community Manager Alex:
Greetings Community! We have seen some people are reporting issues when trying to install patch 1.1 for Crysis. Following are a few early workarounds for you to look at.
1. Revert Back To Original Files
One solution is to revert back the original files your Crysis installation which include:
- ..\Crysis\Game\Localized: different language .pak file (use the standard langauge .pak you have when installing the game)
- ..\Crysis\Game\Config\: modified .cfg files (use the standard .cfg files delivered with Crysis)
- ..\Crysis\Game\Config\CVarGroups: modified .cfg files (use the standard .cfg files delivered with Crysis)
- ..\Crysis\Game\: modified .pak files (use the standard .pak files delivered with Crysis)
- As alternative a clean and fresh Crysis installation might be the solution as well.
2. Install Problems Under Vista
In the case you are running Windows Vista and get an error during the installation please do following:
- Right click on the Patch 1.1 Setup .exe file
- Click on “Run as Administrator”.
3. Turn Off Daemon-Tools
If you are running Daemon Tools turn them off and try to re-start the installation of Patch 1.1.
4. EA Download Manager - Install Problems
We are currently investigating and trying to provide a solution as quickly as possible.
Please let us know if you find further workarounds or if there are additional problems.
regards,
-alex

We have had many hits from people just searching how to open crysis console just requesting how to open console and type in a few commands might come naturally to some people but if you don’t know how or you have never done it, you need to be shown.
To open crysis console you press the the button to the left of ‘1′, below ‘Esc’, just above ‘tab’ on most standard keyboards, Ive included a keyboard picture which points out the correct button, this button is common for console in most games,

type normally the command you want to use.

The intro movies, the clips before crysis starts can be quite annoying to watch each time you play and load the game. Ive created a simple script that will allow you to remove and restore the crysis movies, for when you want to see them and don’t want to. The crysis intro movie script will allow you to remove crysis intro movies with a simple dialog box yes or no.
Download the script below.
Remove crysis intro movies Download HERE
Place this script in your crysis intro folder located at
“Drive:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game\Localized\Video”
By default.

Then run the script and thats it! Keep it for later to restore the movies if you need to.
Removing crysis intro movies is pretty simple! Enjoy playing Crysis with a faster half the load up time!

A couple of days ago i had modified the crysis server config file ( cfg)
So i am going to show you “how to currently setup a crysis dedicated server and play on a crysis dedicated server” with modifications such as low gravity, even no gravity, how to allow your players to hold and carry all crysis weapons, increase the nano speed, turn auto turrets off, and other sorts of things that will be fun to play with.

Setting Up Your Server Config File
By default in “Drive:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game\Config” create a file named autoexec.cfg and another file called server.cfg
Add all the commands you need such as
p_gravity_z 0
Or download my crysis server config.
then save it in the config directory from above.
Once that has been achieved you can then go-to “Drive:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32″ and run CrysisDedicatedServer.exe and your server will be hosted with the current settings in autoexec.cfg except for any settings like low gravity, or any settings in your server.cfg, so execute your server.cfg by typing in crysis server console “exec server.cfg” (highlighted in green on the image above).
Running low gravity and joining the server
Hosting and playing on a dedicated server means that you will have to enable developer mode, which will also enable god mode commands etc to work, but there maybe a command in crysis to disable them too, check out the crysis commands list tosee a full list of commands.
1. Setup the server config as above
2. run CrysisDedicatedServer.exe -DEVMODE , to do this download this file “developer server” and place it in your “Drive:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32″ folder then double click it to run. (as shown on the image above)
3. Do the same with the client file Crysis.exe -DEVMODE, to do this download this file “developer client” and place it in your “Drive:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32″ folder then double click it to run.
If you wish to join your own server I’ve noticed you must run the client first the Crysis server.
4. Join your server either by typing in your server IP or locating it on the server list, other people will not be able to join your server if they are not running the game in DEVMODE.
Note: when in game to disable all the information on the screen open console and type: “r_Displayinfo 0″
Have fun running in DEVMODE don’t forget to try out all the nano suit commands gravity and the no weapon limit!

This ones for all you Crysis fans
!
Yesterday i was playing crysis and trying out some of the console commands and I’ve found some useful commands such as changing the crosshair in game, and low gravity etc. Just to play and for fun really.
Okay , So first i was looking about the internet for a list of crysis commands to try out, i found a very nice command list! If you want to download it you can below. Sorry i forgot the site where i found it, so i can’t give out credit, but it was in Google not to far from the first page for ‘crysis commands‘ so it shouldn’t be hard to find.
crysis commands list DOWNLOAD HERE
I saw the command “hud_crosshair” (0-8) and thought I would give it a go, so while in game i opened up console and typed in “hud_crosshair 9″ and i got a different crosshair from the ones you can normally select in the options menu, after that i tried a few numbers 8+ and found you can set your crosshair to 13 different ones not just the standard 1 to 8 you get in options.
So if you want to change your crosshair whilst playing in crysis do the following,
- Enter a game ( multiplayer or single player)
- Open the crysis console
- type in “con_restricted 0″
- then type “hud_crosshair 9″ or the number of the crosshair you want
Here’s a small image of the full 13 crysis crosshairs and their code’s 8 = no crosshair

Gravity
Changing crysis gravity using the p_gravity_z command.
In Crysis/Game/Config/ if you create a file called autoexec.cfg
add the lines:
con_restricted 0
p_gravity_z -5
Then load up the sandbox editor and enter to play a map.
The default is ‘-9.8′ so ‘-5′ should give you a feel of lower gravity.
Server Fun and Commands
So far I’ve not been able to get a server with low gravity(updated: How to play on a crysis modded server , low gravity etc), but there are many other commands for server like increase in the nano speed which is pretty fun, and also suit energy regeneration time can be changed.
A few commands that you might want to put in your server autoexec.cfg or server.cfg are:
“g_suitSpeedMultMultiplayer 5″ this changes the nano speed on the multiplayer server
“g_playerSuitEnergyRechargeTimeMultiplayer 40″ faster recharge of the nano / energy suit.
“g_meleeWhileSprinting 1″ either 1 or 0 to melee while at full nano speed.
“hud_mpNamesDuration 8″ how long you want to display the multiplayer names for default is 2
Theres tons more just check out the crysis commands list have a look at what might make the game a bit more fun, or just to adjust it!
click here for the crysis commands list
I would like to see more severs with different settings, same old settings can get boring!
Thats all for now, and was just thinking there must be a way to make your own crysis crosshairs somewhere.
