I advise you to turn on your download(click download) before reading this, its about 800meg and if you don’t download it now, you’ll most probably want to after reading.
I have been playing the GRID demo for the last couple of days. It has shown me a lot and gave great insight to the game. The demo features, 3 modes of game play:
Touring Cars
Pro Muscle
Drift
Touring Cars is your high speed race tracks, the demo has Jarama’s Grand Prix Circuit which is 2.36 miles and you are able to drive the BMW 320SI. You are able to play this track both single player and multiplayer across the internet.
Pro Muscle is your big litre engines and on the demo you are able to drive a Ford Mustang GT-R Concept (below) Which gives you access to the San Francisco Grand Prix race track. This race can also be played online(i know, what are code masters doing releasing all this content?)
Drift i haven’t played much, i don’t usually go for drifting type of games, but it has now become a standard in the racing video game industry, unless your going for a simulator that is. Race Drive GRID Demo allows you to play in a Nissan Silvia on Yokohama Docks Route A1, a Jap track.
As we know Race driver GRID is an arcade slash simulator, a mixture of the two which has actually been done very well, by codemasters.
A message appears on a starting screen of the game stating
“This is a demo and does not represent the final quality of the game”
For a demo there is so much content and is a real tease for the game itself. If you don’t have enough money for the game. At least download the free demo, *chuckle*. It not only features single play but great multiplayer too.
The damage is great(oh be careful online) you will notice all sorts of things that you haven’t seen before dangle from your wreck. Online damage will still be taken into consideration, if turned on in the settings by the host.
You will see the occasional raving lunatic that wants to obliterate your car to smithereens, but you can avoid these guys by making sure you look both to your left and right occasionally.

Plot Outline
Niko Bellic is Serbian, between 28 and 32 years of age and has come to Liberty City to pursue the “American Dream”. Niko was persuaded to move to Liberty City by his cousin Roman, who claimed in multiple e-mails to Niko that he was living a fabulous life, with a mansion, women, hot tubs and sports cars. Roman’s claims turn out to be lies to hide his own failures, however, and in reality he only owns a small taxi business, which he wants Niko to work for.

Hey over the last couple of weeks i made a Website Content Management System, I called it Acute Control Panel, because it was to be developed in a short amount of time. It’s open source anyone can modify it to suite their needs but i would like the original credit.

If you need to quickly make a website then acute cp is way to do it, it takes a few minutes to setup. I’ve made the default template in xhtml and the design SEO Friendly. It’s very easy to create your own themes, checkout The “rounded theme” to create and derive your own.

Installation is easy

Extract, the contents of the zip file into a directory.
Create a MySQL Database on your webserver and import/run the MySQL Query “acute-cp.sql” from the contents of the zip, with a user and appropriate permission’s.
Open “acute-cp/web_settings.php” with a text editor. Replace the appropriate fields highlighted and any other information if need be(not usually):

Upload the contents of the “acute-cp” folder to your root FTP directory.
Installation is complete login to your control panel with the Username: admin Password: password

Mortal Online was first planned back in 2002 and took off in 2005.
Mortal Online is a Fantasy Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game some of its features that have been announced so far are, Free World/Free Roam, Next generation Graphics, Realtime combat and something they have added that maybe a different feature than other MMORPG’s is history never repeats itself.
So far they have released a bunch of features that i think early mmorpg’s have covered but the no repetitive monster killing. Full PvP is enabled around the free world of Mortal Online.
Free Roam / Free World - free roam / free world is what you choose to do in the game, whether is be to be an assassin or theif. It also seems that you will be able to keep houses for storage. Explore the big world, discover new places and name them. New resources are everywhere.
Graphics Next Generation - Mortal Online is using unreal technology for its “next generation graphics”, the unreal engine 3 to power its MMORPG features, using Grome and Speedtree they will be making a game and world of detailed characters, realistic terrain, life like creatures to make you feel connected visually / mentally to the game.
Real time Combat (as seen in age of conan) - Real time combat in Mortal Online is the only combat system available on the game, auto attacking etc will not be implemented, you will have to be the fighter, you will need skill to fight.
Mortal Online History Doesn’t get Repeated - When playing mortal online don’t expect to face the same monsters over and over again. There will be small monsters that are common but Big Beasts and Bosses that you kill don’t expect to see them miraculously come back to life, once they are dead they are dead. Rare monsters and quests do not return, each players experience will be unique. How do you find these monsters? you just have to be at the right place at the right time they could be anywhere. You could win a unique item or get a unique scar that no one else will bare, from this style of game play.
Many more… there are more features to come from this game in most definitely but are yet to be announced.
Overall the graphics look nice, the unreal engine 3 should go down a treat, for those of you who don’t know of it. Okay so maybe the features so far aren’t as pretty as they could be but theres many more to come. The best feature so far would be the History doesn’t repeat itself feature. Which a lot of MMORPG’s don’t have and is what will make this game unique.
There usually always is a beta for these type of games, and Mortal online will also be holding a beta testing stage in the future. Anyway still probably a way to go yet, just thought it’d be worth knowing!

The Variety Map Pack for COD4 : Modern Warfare (Call of Duty 4) has arrived for xbox 360 gamers here is a list of the maps and descriptions of why they were designed this way.
They were said to include all aspects of gameplay in COD4. It is said that PS3 gamers will not have to wait to long for the map pack to arrive on the sony ps3 platform.
But they do cost.. 800 MS Points to be exact.
Broadcast
Its size and alternating routes make “Broadcast” great for large team games. A large, multi-story television station with plenty of window vantage points creates the perfect setting for floor-to-floor combat. The station is surrounded by extensive outdoor areas consisting of a long parking lot, surrounding buildings with sniping hiding spots and side-rooftop access to the top and bottom floors of the television station.
Creek
A large wide open village in the woods, “Creek” consists of heavy foliage, great for sniper cover: a deep ravine offers an excellent vantage point for ambushes; an underground cave offers an alternate evasion route; and various multi-floor houses populate a patchwork of connected farmland. This extensive open map is great for snipers with plenty of natural coverage consisting of rocks and trees. There are various routes for advancement from both high and low vantage points over and underneath the hillsides. Another great map for large team games.
Chinatown
A modern revision of the classic Call of Duty “Carentan” map, “Chinatown” takes players to the foggy downtown district of a Chinatown. A night time setting, the cityscape is well lit by the full moon and the glow of brightly colored lanterns and neon lights from local businesses. This district offers a variety of open-street and interior settings, perfect for fire fights throughout the connected roads, courtyards, antique shops and markets within it. Great for all game types and players.
Killhouse
“Killhouse” is an enclosed warehouse made of plywood structures, mock-ups and speed-run courses used for training, creating the right mix of obstacles for small team games or free-for-alls with a variety of soft and hard cover points spread throughout the entire ground level.

Grid is a game by Codemasters who also previously created the game DiRT.
Anyway Grid is expected to be released by summer 2008. Anyone that waits for game’s to be released know’s that the release dates are always subject to change, delays etc. But seeing some of the gameplay of Grid and trailers it looks like Codemasters are up to scratch.
The game looks great it has about 50 cars, which maybe less than expected but they each have their own greatness about them. They are said to be 50 of the best racing cars that were made, which means you will have a great time driving them at very high speeds..
The cars each have their own way of breaking apart, meaning when taking on damage from hitting other objects or opponents you hit the bumper and it may fall off.
The damage engine they are using has derived from DiRT, but has been modified and changed alot since that game was developed.
They announced that this type of racer was not going to be an Arcade style racer or and Simulator Type racer. It was going to be inbetween, a cross between the both? maybe. It will have some aspects of a simluator and arcade style. This racing game Grid focuses on the race of racing, not modding your car improving performance, but the actually rush of being in a race. So all the cars will be unlocked ‘out of the box’, no need to play for days and days to unlock new cars.
The game is said to include many racing types, including drifting, and average speed race first to the finish.
